Rules (The Palace Has Order, Without It, Society Will Perish)
Various rules that everyone must follow. Some are common sense, but a few people may not have heard of it before. Please be respectful or please leave, its as simple as that. Rudeness and disrespect will not be tolerated here. So please try to keep the peace and follow these rules.
1. No God Modding
Besides myself, not one of you have the right to 'God-mod'. Basically, that is controlling every single character to abide to your character's requests. So in logs, you cannot control both your character and the character that you are logging with. So in short, you control your character not the whole universe. That right is reserved for me. ♥
2. Spelling and Grammar
In the palace, eloquent writing is essential. Correct spelling is a must, (though I do accept the occasional typo here and there. Just as long as you do not have typos within every word you have written) and correct grammar (question marks, commas, full stops, et cetera). A tip would be to write in Word first and then copy and paste it to your log replies or use the LiveJournal spell checker; either way there should be no excuse for red-neck language.
3. Constant Activity
Please be active at least every week. I know that some of you have personal problems to deal with it and if that's the case, your activity deadline would be every two weeks or show me a recently posted comment. With the powers bestowed to a slave, I will hunt you down if you have not posted a new journal entry in one week. I will not be angry, I will just remind. I am not the-update-my-journal-everyday sort of slave either.
4. Keeping In Character
Staying in-character is probably one of the most important rules. The community solely centers on that. If your character was introduced as being hateful then that character will stay that way until further influences. Or if your character was introduced as idiotic that character will stay that way, again, until further influence. If you feel the need to be out-of-character, please post in your own journal or in the Empire. Despite the community being in an Alternate Universe, they are still the same as they were in the Naruto Universe.
5. Open to All Pairings (Besides Unexplained Crack)
The Imperial Palace is open to canon pairings. Crack is not accepted unless there are obvious hints in the community to suggest otherwise. So Yaoi/Yuri/Heterosexual/Incest relationships are accepted. However, that does not give you the right to bully someone into subduing into a pairing of your choice, unless they enthusiastically agree with you. Understand that a paring you like many not appeal to others.
6. Ratings
Logs of all ratings are allowed. From K+ to NC17. But if a log or an AIM chat is rated as NC17, please make it 'Friends Only' with the appropriate warnings. No one wants to stumble on a seemingly innocent log between two character to find out that isn't so innocent.
7. Character Limit
Sadly, this community will only have a limit of one character per person. Reason is, the popular characters of Naruto are quite limited and if one person applies for two popular characters; there is no fun for future members. The limit is one character unless permission is given (which is highly unlikely).
8. Out of Character Drama
Out of character drama and dislike for one another, is unacceptable behavior within the community. If you simply do not like each other please keep that to yourself. Roleplaying is a fun hobby where the drama happens in the game, not out of it. And if you have a complaint about someone, report it to the concerns and complaints post at the Empire. As a mod, I would attend to that issue immediately.
